Danny Daniels

Danny Ralph Daniels, 78, went to be with the Lord on February 09, 2025. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 south. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery in Brownfield, Texas beginning at 3:30 PM. 

Danny was born on September 25, 1946, in Brownfield, Texas, to Preston and Estelle Daniels. He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1965. On September 11, 1970, he married the love of his life, Karen Sue, in Brownfield, Texas. In 1979 he graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Park Administration. In October 1980, they moved to Abilene, Texas, to begin new careers, and Abilene quickly became home.

Danny worked as a park ranger for the Core of Engineers in San Angelo and at the Abilene State Park. He was a dedicated member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church since 1982. He found joy in drawing, oil painting, fishing, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished family gatherings, especially those with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Preston Daniels, and Estelle Daniels Lee; his daughter, Amy Renee Daniels; his siblings, Zeddie Daniels, Connie Summers, and Michael Lee. 

Danny is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Daniels; his two sons, Bengie Daniels and his wife Angela, and Cale Daniels; four grandchildren, Hayden Daniels, Caleb Daniels, Isaiah Daniels, and Riley Daniels; two siblings, Clay Daniels and wife Nancy, and Jerry Lee; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
