Danny Ray Hyde, Senior, 66, of Abilene, Texas passed away Saturday, July 3. A proud graduate of BOTH Bossie High and Southwood High Schools in Evansville, IN and Shreveport, LA respectively, Danny had a knack for carving his own path in life that held true to the end. In addition to his numerous adventures as an entrepreneur he loved spending time on the water with his family and friends, greeting them with an enthusiastic "Good morning young man (or lady)" as soon as he saw them.
He is survived by his daughter Heather Hyde Wargo and her husband Ryan; his son Danny Hyde, Jr. and his wife Carissa; his daughter Emalee Hyde and partner Marion Keyes; his grandson Rowan Hyde Wargo; his sister Donna Cabeza and her husband John; his sister Beth Hyde; his father Bob Hyde; and nephew Dustin Ralich and wife Shannon; nieces Danielle Coulson and husband Matt; Bailey Hyde; Carmen Hyde; and great nephew Kace Coulson.
He is preceded in death by his mother Jennie Hyde and brother Bruce Hyde.
Visitation for family and friends will be 12:00 - 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Elmwood Memorial Park.
