Darwin Westbrook

Darwin Dell Westbrook, 73, passed away Friday, June 07, 2013 in Abilene. His graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 11th in the Garden of Ten Commandments at Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Darwin was born in Lubbock on December 2, 1939 the son of the Reverend CH Westbrook and Earleen Carr Westbrook. He worked as a selfemployed construction contractor in Abilene and did beautiful custom woodwork. Darwin also enjoyed working on and rebuilding computers and helped many small churches with their computer needs. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and always had cookies for them when they came to visit.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Wanda Westbrook his children, Bobby Westbrook, Chris Westbrook, and Michael Westbrook all Abilene, and Debbie Webb and husband Thomas of Clyde adopted son, Glen Abney his motherinlaw, Gladys Mincey his sister, Hermaleen Swarts of Abilene 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

His parents, a sister, Dois Collins, a brother HC Westbrook and a daughter, Merlene Janice Westbrook preceded him in death.
