David Heights III (Lil Dave) was born on April 1, 1995 in Abilene, Tx to parents, Melissa Garrett and David Height.
Visitation will be Friday July 1, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South, Abilene, Texas. Funeral Services will be Saturday July 2, 2022 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church 1333 Nth 3rd Street, Abilene, Texas. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Memorial Park.
He later moved to Panama City, Fl, where he attended elementary and middle school. While in Panama City David participated in football, basketball, and baseball. It was in Panama City that David accepted Jesus as his lord and savior at Pentecostal Worship Center under the direction of Bishop & Elder Wade.
David later moved back to Abilene to be closer to family. It was his move back to Texas that he met his best friends/brothers and became known as Supaa Dave. He attended Mann Middle School and graduated from Abilene High class of 2013.
David's life was so fulfilling. David loved his Abilene, Houston, Denton, and Austin family. David had a special bond with his uncles and aunts. He truly loved and celebrated life. He was a shining light of humor, wit, and laughs from the soul which is fitting for an April Fools baby. He loved cracking jokes, making funny videos, playing pranks on family and friends. His smile and presence would light up your day and light up the room. He was full of love for anyone he encountered, and David never met a stranger. He was known throughout the city of Abilene and could often be seen attending Abilene sporting events with Grandfather, Gill Carrion.
David also had a passion for cooking. He would call up family to share recipe tips. He would often cook just to have a family gathering. If you attended the yearly Abilene Fair, then you've probable had his mouthwatering brisket sandwiches.
David loved his daughter Kamdyn with all his heart. She was his joy and the apple of his eye.
He is proceeded in death by Great Grandparents Eloise Carrion, Nicholas Carrion, Molly Walker, William Walker (Duck), Cornelius Strahan, Alvin Sorrells, Merrill Sorrells, and Celestine Jones. Grandparents David Sorrells & Annie Jewel Height. Best Brothers Merced Harris & Trey Johnson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter Kamdyn Jewels Height (Albany, Tx), mother Melissa Garrett (Abilene, Tx), father David Height (Austin, Tx), stepmother Summer Benford (Austin, Tx), sister Brishon Mitchell (Tampa, Fl), brothers Jacob Gonzales-Cyphers, Daylon Height, Devin Height (Austin, Tx), maternal grandmother Alice Garrett (Abilene, Tx), maternal grandfather Gill Carrion (Abilene, Tx), paternal grandfather Kenneth Ray (Houston, Tx), and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and others whose lives David touched.
