David Martinez

David Martinez, 56 of Abilene passed away on peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday August 6, 2017. He now rests with those that preceded him in death, his loving parents and grandchild.

Visitation will be held at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 US HWY 277 South on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 10, 2017, at 2:00PM in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

David Martinez was born on August 27, 1960 to Cesilio and Alicia Martinez. David was an accomplished business owner in the Abilene area, spent time on the road as a truck driver, and worked the oil field for many years in Laredo, Texas.

David is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Leticia Martinez; sons, David Timothy Martinez (Diane), Cesilio Martinez and Chris Martinez; grandsons, Timothy Alexander, Macyn Xavier, Jase, and David Timothy Martinez, Jr. and one on the way Lucas Javier Martinez. He is also survived by his brother José Luis Martinez (Mindee) and his sister Elsa Martinez as well as many more family and friends.
