David Smith

David A. Smith 54, of Memphis, our beloved husband, father, pepaw, son, and brother passed into Jesus arms on May 29, 2011 after a short illness.

He was very patriotic and would pay for soldiers meals when he would meet them in a restaurant or airport and always shook their hands and told them thank you for their service. He loved the Lord and served him faithfully. David was a veteran of the U.S. army Reserves and a member of Germantown Baptist Church. He worked for Orgill Incorporated until his death.

He is preceded in death by his father A.D. Smith, and a brother Jack Smith.

He leaves his loving wife Pam Smith, two children Stephanie Bohannon of Murray, KY, Jared Trainer of Oakland, TN, his mother Ida Inez Gandy Smith of Sealy, TX, one sister Anna Freeman of Ft. Worth TX, two brothers Richard H Smith of Katy, TX, and Almer J. Smith of Alabaster, AL, and four grandchildren Jonah Bohannon, Sarah Bohannon, Noah Bohannon, and Gavin Trainer.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to the CJD Foundation, P.O. Box 5312 Akron, OH, 44334.
