David Williams Sr

Daivd Randy or Harpo Randall Williams Sr, passed away on December 29, 2012, in Abilene. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Visitation for family and friends will be at 9:00 AM until service time.

Randy was born on July 29, 1961, in Abilene, to parents David Byron Dick and Norma Sue Hickman Williams. He was a star football player for the Abilene High Eagles before he graduated in 1979. He was known by many as Harpo, to some even superman. He enjoyed all things baseballsoftball he coached little league for over 20 years. His family will always remember him as a great, tenderhearted, loving, generous man. Pops was a man of Faith and had strong family ties. His big bear hugs will be greatly missed.

Randy is survived by his children, JD Doty and husband Mitchell of Bellville, David Randall Williams Jr and Marci Murphy, of Abilene, and Michael Don Williams, of Abilene grandchildren, Jaxon and Maddi Doty, and Jaklyn Williams sisters, Becky Davison and husband Phil, of Abilene, and Laura Dankworth and husband Greg, of Amarillo Tracie Willard, Georgie Gurganus, Debbie Flatt, George and Mandy Gurganus, and Nancy Isom as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers for the service will be Mitchell Doty, David Williams Jr, Michael Williams, Thomas Hopper, Orrin Dankworth, and Mark Davison. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Davison, Greg Dankworth, and Georgie Gurganus.

The family will be taking visitors from 6:00 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at 3057 Chimney Rock Court, Abilene, Texas, 79606.
