Debbie Gregg

Debbie Gregg, 62, passed away on May 19, 2014 in Abilene. Her Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 23 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South. Inurnment will be at 11:30 AM Saturday, May 24 in Waxahachie Cemetery.

Debbie was born on June 26, 1952 to Thomas and Verna McElroy in Paris, TX. Debbie was employed by NAPA Auto Parts and has been in the Auto Parts industry since 1980 beginning at her fathers local business, McElroy Service Parts. A woman was rare in the parts business, but Debbie not only expanded her knowledge of parts, but also her following of customers and friends. She was well known and loved for her straight forward honesty and ornery charm. She will be missed beyond words, but her memory will last forever.

She is survived by her daughter Amy Hill Ken Smith four grandchildren,
Garrett Flippo, Gavin Hill, Peyton Hill, and Presli Hill, all of Abilene, TX her two brothers, Tom McElroy Jr. and Steve McElroy of Dallas, TX. Other family members include Travis and Stephanie McElroy their children, Ireland, London, and Britain Tanner McElroy and his daughter Isabella, all of Dallas, TX and Tarran McElroy of Tampa, FL.
