Debra Goodheer

Debra Love Goodheer was born March 19, 1960, in Odessa, Texas, and died on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in Abilene, Texas. She could make the saddest person smile and laugh.

Debra was in the Odessa High School class of 1978 where she was drum major in the band. She went on to graduate from Abilene Christian University in 1982 with a degree in accounting. She was an active member of Gata social club. Debra married Jesse Goodheer in 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada. On May 2, 1996, Eric was born. He was her pride and joy.

Debra survived a tough cancer battle to have other health issues emerge. Jesse faithfully took care of her through this time and until the end. Throughout it all, one of her favorite expressions was "God is good ALL the time."

Debra will be truly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Anita Love, as well as her brother, David Love.

Debra is survived by her son, Eric Goodheer, of Frisco, Texas and her soul mate, Jesse Goodheer of Abilene, Texas.

The family has requested that the attire for the funeral service be very informal; no suits please.

A funeral service will be held on Friday October 18, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas. Interment will follow the service at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas.
