Debra Helgerson

Debra Jean Helgerson passed away October 28, 2016 in Abilene. Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Her funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, November 4, 2016 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Debra was born January 31, 1968, in Racine, WI. She was the daughter of LaMont Helgerson and Rosemary (Edmundson) Helgerson. Debra graduated from J.I. Case High School in 1986. On May 15, 1987 she was united in marriage to Jeffrey Endres in Oak Creek, Wisconsin at Grace Lutheran Church. She attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI and Cisco Junior College in Abilene, TX.

Debra is survived by her daughter, Kristina Endres; sister, Judy Helgerson; brothers, Thomas (Mary) Helgerson and Richard (Linda) Helgerson; and nephew, Joshua (Ashlynne) Gartner. She was further survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James.

Debra worked as an accounting specialist at Goodwill of West Texas since 2014, and part time for Terry Browder Sayles Ranch Guesthouses. Prior to that she worked at PepsiTexas for 19 years and part-time at Dillard's for 8 years.

Deb was the ultimate fashionista and loved accessorizing as evidenced by her large collection of watches, shoes, and purses. Everything had to match head to toe. She loved finding a bargain. Her sense of humor was top notch and she could turn anything into a joke.
She was a devoted mother to her daughter Tina. She was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan but couldn't watch the games because she would get too anxious. She loved being with her family.
