Delores Towery

Delores Towery passed away January 8, 2019 in Abilene, Texas. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene Texas. A Funeral Service will follow visitation beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will be held in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Delores was born March 11, 1942 to O.B. and Opal Simpkins in Stamford, Texas. She attended Abilene High School and was a long time resident of Abilene, Texas. She met the love of her life R.O. Towery and they married December 27, 1983 in Baird, Texas. They enjoyed bowling, camping, and fishing. Delores retired from Cooper High School. She was a loving mother and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, R.O. Towery; her parents, O.B. and Opal Simpkins; and one brother, Douglas Simpkins.

Delores is survived by her daughters, Darla Goetz and husband Steven, and Jaime Sansom and husband Jonathon; grandchildren, Ryan Goetz, and Ronnie Loza; three siblings, Darlene Newman, David Simpkins, and Vickie Waller.
