Dennis Michael Snoopy Duke, 51, died Saturday, October 31, 2009 in Abilene. At the time of his death, he was doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle and the feeling of peace and freedom that came with it. His memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 6, 2009 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South.
Dennis was born in Savannah, Georgia on January 29, 1958. He lived in many places growing up as the son of a career Air Force father. Around 1970, the family was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base and Dennis has been in the Abilene area since that time. He graduated from Wylie High School in 1976 and later attended Cisco Junior College where he enjoyed being a part of the marching band that participated in the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. He has owned and operated Duke RV since 1992, where he has earned himself a loyal following and a reputation for being honest and skilled in his profession.
Dennis had many passions; he enjoyed photography, Nascar, and bowling, even going to National Tournaments in his younger days. His biggest passion has always been his music.
