Domingo Patlan

Domingo M.Patlan Sr, 76, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 16, 2022 in the Elmwood Funeral Home’s Family Center, 5750 Hwy 277 South Abilene, Texas. A funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Monday, January 17, 2022 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South Abilene, Texas.

Domingo was born July 1, 1945 in Kyle, Texas to Luis and Carmen Patlan. On January 30, 1965 Domingo married the love of his life, Connie Diaz, and the couple spent 56 beautiful years together. In November of 1965, Domingo was drafted into the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.  Domingo worked for Crown Cork and Seal Company Plt. 30 in Abilene, Texas for 31 years.  He enjoyed fishing, dancing, music, classic cars, the Dallas Cowboys, and attending family gatherings. Above all, Domingo enjoyed his family especially his grandchildren. Domingo has left a legacy of love and family that will carry on through generations to come and his presence will be missed beyond measure.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Carmen Patlan; his granddaughter, Kameron “Kami” Patlan; two siblings, Reymunda Ranjel, and Lupe Patlan; and his nephew, Allen Mills.

Domingo is survived by his loving wife, Connie Patlan; his two sons, Domingo Patlan Jr., and Roman Patlan (Tricia); his grandchildren, Mandy Patlan, Kobe Patlan, and Kiley Patlan; his great granddaughter, Kennedy Parker; his siblings, Mary Balderas (Saul), Bernice Martinez (Valentine), Juan Patlan (Laura), Mary Lou Mills (Rick), Teressa Stowers (Mike), and Luis Patlan Jr. (Connie); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
