Donald Brabbin

Donald Gerald Brabbin, 84, of Abilene passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in Abilene.

Memorial services will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Southern Hills Church of Christ. Private Burial will be held prior to the service at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Donald was born on September 14, 1930 in Cisco, TX to the late Milford and Thelma Fuqua Brabbin. He married Carol Cunningham on November 23, 1974 in Abilene. Donald was self-employed as a tile setter for over 4o plus years. He was a hard worker who dearly loved his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a hunter and avid "collector" who was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan. Donald was a member of Southern Hills Church of Christ and a former member of the Taylor County Sherriff's Posse.

Donald is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Cindy Varner and husband David of Abilene, Greg Brabbin of Austin; grandchildren, Jessica Varner, Rachel Evans and husband Brad, Hayden Brabbin, Hadleigh Brabbin, Mason Brabbin; brother, Bill Brabbin, Fred Brabbin and wife Shirley, Jerry Brabbin.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer Association or charity of your choice.
