Donald Wiesner

Donald Donnie Wiesner, 31, passed away March 1, 2014. Visitation will be Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 6:00 till 7:00 PM with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral Mass will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 7, 2014 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 826 Cottonwood St.
Donnie was born May 3, 1982 in Abilene to parents, Don and Rowan Norvell Wiesner. He attended Abilene High School where he met the love of his life, Melora Elrod. They were married in 2000 and had one daughter, Melia in 2008.
Donnie worked in the vision care industry for several years. He was a lab tech at Eyemart before becoming the General Manager of Eyemasters. After a move to Dallas he began working in the oil field when they returned to Abilene.
They attended St. Francis Catholic Church. He enjoyed drawing, playing basketball and bowling. He was very creative and could fix anything and was very giving, always willing to help anyone. He loved his family. His wife and daughter were his everything and he worked hard and was very dedicated to taking care of them.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Melora daughter, Melia father, Don Wiesner mother, Rowan Wilson brother, Ronald sister, Robin grandfather, Don L. Wiesner grandmother, Peggy McGowan Wiesner grandmother, Jenny L. Wiesner and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
