Donna Bennette

Donna Jean (Bateman) Bennett, 82, died Thursday, January 14, 2015 at a local hospital.

Viewing is to be held 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Elmwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Albany Cemetery, in Albany, TX.

Donna was born August 28, 1932, the eighth and final child to Fred C. and Clara Bateman in Maypearl, Texas. After graduation from Maypearl High, in 1950, she attended Texas Tech College in Lubbock, Texas until marrying John M. Bennett III on July 12, 1953. John passed on August 19, 2001.

Donna is survived by four sons, John M. Bennett IV of Santa Fe, NM. Timothy D. Bennett of Abilene. Mark S. Bennett of Abilene and Joel F. Bennett of Fredricks Hofen, Germany, and four grandchildren.
