Donnie Qualls

Donnie Wray Qualls, 73, of Abilene died Friday, March 12, 2021 at Hendrick Medical Center with his family by his side. Don was born December 7, 1947, in Perryton, Texas to Wayne and Colleen Qualls, he graduated from Cooper High School. Don worked as a Correctional Office for TDCJ at the Middleton Unit for many years until he retired in 2004.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Qualls of 50 years. granddaughter, Chelsea Butler; his parents, Wayne and Colleen Qualls; sisters, Sherry Popham, and Ann Sargent.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Qualls of Abilene, Chuck Branton and wife Valerie of Abilene, daughters, Melynda Badon and husband Jemar of Abilene, Missty George and Fiance Jim Townsend of Abilene; sisters, Sandra Richards and husband Jim of Abilene, Suzy Carlile and husband Edwin of Abilene; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 23, 2021 at Elmwood Funeral Home 5750 Hwy 277 South. Services will be held on Wednesday March 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Mata officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
