Doris Harrell-Mcbride

Sis Doris McBride was born October 23, 1939 in Calvert, Texas to her parents, the late Finch Giddings and Prince Ola (Williams) Beaver. She married the late Lewis T. (Shorty) Harrell at King Solomon Baptist Church on July 19, 1957. In her spare time, you could easily find her helping others, enjoying family time, working on crossword puzzles, and attending various church activities. She was a faithful member and respected usher at New Fellowship Baptist Church in Abilene, TX under Rev (Dr) J.W. Webbs Sr.

Ms. McBride is preceded in her death by her parents and two sisters, Ruby Mae Canada and Janie Louise Beaver, both of Wichita Falls, Texas. She is survived by her aunt, Annie Bell Harris of Burkburnett, Texas and an uncle, Sylvester Curtis Williams Sr. of Wichita Falls, Texas, one sister, Rosie Bell Smith of Detroit, Michigan and one brother, Willie Cecil Beaver of Wichita Falls, TX. She is also survived by her children Thomas Edward Harrell of Abilene, TX, Ronnie Eugene Harrell of Baird, TX, Danny Christopher Harrell of Abilene, TX, Phyllis Catherine and Reggie Lewis Harrell, of Killeen, TX, Jacqueline Marie Harrell- Beaver of Abilene, TX, 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a host of other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers for Doris McBride are Larry Payne, David Spells, Shaun Cruse, Douglas Conner Jr., Christopher Phillips, and Shavodrick Beaver with honorary pallbearers being Tim Jackson, Jackie Dunn, and Kevin Carson

The family wishes to thank everyone that have sent words of encouragement, flowers, sympathy cards and a special thanks those that have traveled to be in attendance and sharing in her home going celebration. May God bless each of you!
