Doris M. Seale, 83 of Abilene, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at a long term care facility.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2008 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy. 277 South. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 12 at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Zack Smithson officiating; burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, Garden of Prayer.
Doris was born on March 2, 1925 in Taylor, Texas to Grover Cleveland and Ora Eda Avery. She married John W. Seale on December 16, 1956, in Lovington, N.M. Doris was a wonderful homemaker who loved taking care of her home and yard; she was meticulous at everything she did. She worked in Big Spring and Abilene for the Coca Cola Co. for several years. She loved her family and had a special place for her pet poodle, Prissy.
She is survived by three sons, Aubrey Seals, Mike Seals, and Tommy Dale Seals; five daughters, Carolyn Daffron, Barbara Speer, Linda Bys, Brenda Elrod, and Tammy Baker; brother, Kelly Avery; sister, Burnice Parks; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by husband, Tommy Seals; husband, John W. Seale; son, Ronnie Seals; brothers, G.C. Avery, Jr., Douglas Avery, and Vernon Avery; and a great-grandson, Gannon Williams.
