Doris Tedford

Doris jean Tedford, 82, of Abilene passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 in Abilene.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Doris was born on April 10, 1936 to the late Bill Gerhart and Era Smith Gerhart in Winters, TX. She married L.B. Tedford on October 8, 1960 and had 55 wonderful yeas together until his passing on February 1, 2016. Doris worked at the Abilene State School. She loved to work puzzles and collected cookbooks and enjoyed gardening. Doris was always willing to help and care for others, all were welcomed at her table. She was a baptist and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Doris is survived by her children, Rodney Tedford and wife Olivia of Abilene, Kathrine Helms and husband Clay of Abilene, Karen Feemster of Abilene; grandchildren, Michael Tedford, Brittany Tedford, Colin Helms, Connor Helms, Jayton Elliott, Stephen Lindberg, Lane Feemster, Lee Feemster; great granddaughter, Anessa; siblings, Katie Bryson, Kenneth gerhart; brother in-laws, Leon Zachary, Eugene Tedford,
