Dorothy Korman Haley, 90, of Abilene passed away Wednesday September 3, 2014 in Abilene.
Funeral services will be held Saturday September 6 at 10:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Friday September 5 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born on December 9, 1923 in Abilene, TX to the late Gilbert Korman and Vera Winkelman. She married O.B. Bob Haley on March 18, 1944 in Abilene. During their 60 year marriage they lived in El Paso where Dorothy was a volunteer for the Assistance League of El Paso until they relocated back to Abilene. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2005. Dorothy was a Homemaker and deeply loved her family. She was a charter member of Brook Hollow Christian Church. Served as a deacon and was the first female chairman of the board. Dorothy also was an avid Bridge player.
Dorothy is survived by her son, O.B. Haley Jr. and wife Marlene of New Braunfels daughter, Jane Reed of Abilene grandchildren, William Reed, Ellen Mason, Kimberlyn Haley great grandchildren, Kawika Mason, Kekoa Mason, Dixie Smith, Melody Smith, Charlie Smith brother, Gilbert Korman and wife Dottie sister Inlaw, Dotty Korman several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was also preceded in death by her brother, John Korman and her sister Mary Katheryn Dunn.
