Dorothy Reed

Dorothy F. Reed, 83, of Reeds Farm Store in Clyde passed away Thursday December 11, 2014 in Abilene.

Graveside service will be held Monday December 15 at 10 AM at Elmwood Memorial Park with Jay Estes officiating. A visitation with the family will be held Sunday from 3 to 5 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born on February 6, 1931 in Abilene, Texas to the late Fred and Susie Parsons Varnadore. She was a graduate of Abilene High School when it was located at the Lincoln campus. Dorothy married Bobby Dwain Reed on August 18, 1947 in Brady, TX. She loved nature, gardening, flowers and feeding birds. Dorothy was a devoted mother and Nano was passionate about Babies, Puppys and Dogs.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Bobby Reed Sr. of Abilene sons, Bobby Reed Jr. and wife Dayna of Buffalo Gap, David Reed of Abilene daughter Mindy Patterson and husband Jason of Abilene 12 grandchildren lifetime best friend, LaVern Mooty of Abilene.

Family request donations in lieu of flowers be made to Hendrick Hospice, 1682 Hickory St, Abilene, TX 79601.
