Doyle Crouse

Doyle Crouse, 80, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at his home in Abilene. His funeral service with the Reverend David Cason officiating will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 22nd in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with interment following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday at Elmwood.

Doyle was born on March 11, 1933 the son of Benjamin A. Crouse and Wilda Irene Anderson Crouse in Ingraham, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army and worked many years as a superintendent in the construction business. He was a 32730 Mason. He loved the outdoors and traveling. Above all else, Doyle was a dedicated family man and a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his daughters, Karen Hines and husband Kevin, Vicki Hurst and husband Larry all of Abilene grandchildren, Cheryl Riggan, Teresa Cartwright, Justin Davis, Victoria Brakefield and Katrina Brakefield four great grandchildren, numerous nieces and one nephew.

His parents, his wife of 59 years, Nancy Sue Ward Crouse, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory, Abilene, TX 79601.
