Doyle D. Scotty Dalton, 71, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009 in Ft. Worth. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 16th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South. Burial with full military honors will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Scotty Dalton was born on December 18, 1937 in Somerset, Kentucky. He enlisted in the Air Force when he was 17 years old, and served honorably for 20 years. Among the honors he received was the Purple Heart earned during his tour in Viet Nam. He met and married Mary Louise Kline when she was 14 and he was 18, and they treasured one another for 51 years. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he worked at Firestone Tire Rubber Company for an additional 20 years. He loved and cared for his family faithfully and lived as a beautiful example of Godly love and sacrifice. In 2004 he gave his life to Christ and now resides in glory with our beloved Mother.
We were always amazed at how quickly people fell in love with our dad. We as his daughters were blessed to have him as our Father. He was such a sweet and lovable person. Everyone who met him immediately became his friend.
Survivors include, three daughters and their spouses; Brenda and Guy Kruger, Dawn and Hugo Bonacci, and Jennifer and Alan Kost; 8 grandchildren, Scott Kruger, Sarah Buuck, Hugo Bonacci, Nickolas Bonacci, Kevin Mullen, Mary Dalton, Brittany Kost and Nathan Kost; 5 great-grandchildren, Gwyn Bonacci, Cassandra Bonacci, Lucy Bonacci, Elizabeth Buuck and Emily Sandoval; three brothers; Danny Dalton, Doug Dalton, Gary Dalton; two sisters; Rhonda Strathman and Brenda Mosley
His loving wife, Mary Louise Dalton, his parents, a brother, Billy Preather, and sister Marlene Lacey preceded him in death.
