Edith Connel

Edith Marian Peters Connel was born June 9, 1939 to Johnnie and Fayrene Peters in Temple, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Donna, Sibyl, and Katherine; and her beloved husband, Bob Connel.

She is survived by her four children and eleven grandchildren, her son, John Connel and wife Suzanne of Grayson, GA and their four children, Matthew and wife Meredith, David, Joseph, and Adam; her son, Robert Connel and wife Becki of Hawley, TX and their two children, Lane and wife Lacey and Hannah; her daughter, Marian Connel and husband Kelly of Abilene, TX and their three children, Camri, Kylee, and Jayden Wood; her son, Don Connel and wife Melissa of Abilene, TX and their two children, Kenna and Carleigh Schuepbach; many "children by choice", nieces, nephews, and friends - the number of which is impossible to list.

Outside of her family, Edie had two great passions in life: Spreading the Gospel and Physical Therapy. Her greatest love was bringing people to Christ. She lived her life for Christ and shared His love daily. She worked with World Bible School (WBS) in order to share His Word around the world. During her 60 plus year career as a Physical Therapist, she was instrumental in the development of Hendrick Center for Rehabilition and Hardin Simmons PT School. Using both her passions, she had a profound impact on the world!

Edie is loved by many and known as Edith, Edie, Hun, Mom, Mama, Ma, AuntMom, Aunt Edie, GramEdie, GramE, MomE, Aunt MomE, Madre, Grandma, Mymo, Gram, and Gredhead to name just a few.
