Edna Turner

Edna Irene Turner, 80, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023, in Abilene, Texas. She was born on January 17, 1943, to James and Molly Brunson in Crane, Texas.

Edna met her husband Raymond in April of 1957, and they became pen pals. After going their separate ways, they reconnected 9 years later. Raymond knew he could not lose Edna again, so he asked her to marry him. Edna married her husband Raymond on October 10, 1966, in Little Rock, Arkansas, they spent 57 blissful years together without one argument.

She was a loving wife and an amazing mother. Edna enjoyed traveling with her husband during his 21 years in the military. She loved all her pets and enjoyed bird watching.

Edna is survived by her husband, Raymond Turner; her two sons, Tony and his wife Gloria Turner, James and his wife Maria Turner; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby and wife Jeni D. Brunson; sister-in-law Molly Vanrdo; and many extended family and friends.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, James Gordan Brunson, and Molly Marie Brunson; brother, James Brunson.

Edna will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later time for Edna Turner.
