Elaine was born on December 15, 1945 in Callahan County to Harold and Ellen Snyder. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1963 and was a longtime resident of Potosi and Abilene. Elaine had a very successful career in the food service industry. She spent 32 years working for Joe Allen and Sharon Riley's restaurants including many years managing their catering services. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, was an amazing cook, entertainer, and took great joy in the many hours spent creating her own backyard oasis from the many arrangements of flowers and plants she grew herself. She was also known for the love of her animals and enjoyed singing country and gospel music. She was known for treating everyone she ever worked with as though they were close members of her own family. She was forever known as everyone's "other" mother, and truly love each and every one she considered a part of her heart.
She is survived by three daughters, Kelly Jacob and husband Boyce of McKinney, Toni Harvey of Abilene, Tara Deatherage and husband Andy of Waller; six grandchildren, Annie Parmelly, Abby Parmelly, Andrew Young, Calli Harvey, Hadleigh Harvey, and Emery Deatherage; one brother, Wayne Jones of Haltom City; five neices, Joy Denise Gibson and husband James, Tracy Kulyeshie and JB, Desiree Southall, Whitney Fidler, and Kathryn Snyder; one uncle, Carrel McKnight of Winters.
