Eligia Miller

Eligia Margarita Miller, (Margie), 81, beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend, was called home to Heaven on January 11, 2021, under the care of hospice. She entered this world on December 9, 1939 in Maricao, Puerto Rico, born to Juan Arroyo Segarra, and Ricarda Rivera Rivera. She was the youngest of their 16 children. She married her husband Donald Miller in Puerto Rico on August 3rd, 1963. At that time Eligia became a service wife, and mother where she accompanied Don from base to base. Don retired from the Air Force in Bellevue Nebraska. In 1985 they moved their family to Abilene Texas where Margie finished raising their children. She loved life and was a very special, caring, and memorable person.

She is survived by Donald E. Miller, her spouse of 57 years; her sons Eric Miller and Tanner Walters, and her daughters Jacquelyn Martens, Darleen Miller-Mason, and Rebecca Blankenship. Her three grandchildren Philip Cauley, Amanda J. Cauley, and Karissa A. Cauley, and her great grandchildren, Tonya Cauley, Auriana J. Munoz, Janessa N. Cooper, and Nolan M. Pruit.

Eligia had a heart of gold. She would do anything to help anyone without question. She loved life, her family, and bingo.

The viewing will be at 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Elmwood Funeral Home. Immediately following her funeral we will lay her to rest at her gravesite.
