Elizabeth Gail Foy, 68, passed away September 8, 2013 in Abilene. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 6 till 8 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Graveside funeral service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Gail was born November 7, 1944 in Big Spring, TX to Joel and Necia Morgan Thompson. She grew up in Abilene and attended the first class at Cooper High School. She graduated cosmetology school and after working in that business for a short while she began working in retail sales. She worked at Wicks n Sticks for several years and was a department manager at Dillards. She married Mike Foy in 1982 and they enjoyed 30 years of marriage until his passing in 2012.
She loved to take care of her family and spend time with the grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, watching her soap operas, crocheting, and doing needlepoint.
Gail is survived by two daughters, Tammy Crane and husband Ricky, and Sharon Bisset four grandchildren, Jeremy Watts, Shawna Bennett, Kimberly Heffernan, and Mackenzie Crane four great grandchildren, Shawn Bennett, Asia Perkins, Jentry Bennett, Bentley Heffernan sisterinlaw, Dorothy Watson, who was just like a sister to her all the members of the Foy family and her special caregiver Ophelia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike her son, Jon Miller and her parents.
