Elizabeth Ann Shaw, 75, passed away on February 10, 2017 in Abilene, Texas.
Visitation for friends and family will be 9 AM Thursday, February 16, 2017 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US Highway 277 South. Funeral service will follow at 11 AM Thursday, February 16, 2017 located at Elmwood Funeral Home.
She was born on July 17, 1941 in Sudan, Texas to Horace Ray Daniell and Lillian May Selby. Elizabeth was raised in Electra, TX. She graduated from high school as a proud Hamlin pied piper and went on to successfully achieve her Associate's degree. Elizabeth worked as a bookkeeper and homemaker. In 1976, Elizabeth married her sweetheart Glen Shaw in Sudan. She was very close with her sisters, brother, nieces and nephews. Elizabeth and her sisters liked to refer themselves as the Golden Girls. She found happiness in traveling and exploring new and exciting places. Aside from spending time with her family, she was an active member of the Church of Christ. Elizabeth was extremely proud of her family and enjoyed living life to the fullest every day.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Shaw; son, Gary Hale; and one grandson, Kyler Hale.
She was survived by her two sons, Dennis and wife Yvonne of McKinney, TX and Stephen Hale of Fort Worth, TX; one daughter-in-law, Tina Hale of Flower Mound, TX; three step-sons, Ronnie and wife Laquita Shaw of Ada, OK, Craig and wife Mindy Shaw of Tuscola, TX, and Chris Shaw of Bowie, TX; one brother, Herman and wife Charlotte Daniell of Timberon, NM; two sisters, Julie Schaeffer and husband John of Abilene, and Betty Self of Abilene; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
