On Saturday, June 13, 2015, Eloise M. Vina entered the Golden Gates of Heaven and was reunited with the Love of her Life her husband Joe Vina.
Her wish when she left this world was to be surrounded by her family when God called her home, which she was granted.
During her eighty years, she touched many lives not only with her Nursing career but as a vessel to spread God's Word. She never hesitated to minister or pray for someone. A true example of what a Godly Woman is.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16th at 7:00 p.m. at Elmwood Funeral Home located at 5750 Hwy 277 South, and Services will be held Wednesday, June 17th at 10:00 am at Life Church 2465 Old Anson Road Abilene Tx. with Pastor Ezequiel Pecina officiating under the direction of Elmwood Funeral Home.
Eloise was born March 31, 1935 to Ynez and Lupe Macias. She graduated top of her class at Rotan High School, then went on and attended the First Nursing Class thru Hendricks Medical Center, graduating in 1956. She was a single parent raising six children until she married her soul mate in 1967 and was blessed with her seventh child.
Eloise Vina is survived by her sister - Darlene Goodhart (Jerry) of Lubbock, Tx. Brother in Law - Felipe Vina of Rotan, Tx., several sisters in law. Her children: Raymond Seguin (Jan) and Josephine Wilson (Slyvester) from Arlington Tx. Anita Olguin (Richard), Delia Fernandez (Robert), Alice Penns (Clarence), Elisa Martinez (Earnest), Mary Seguin all of Abilene. 13 Grand children, 33 great grand children and 1 great- great grandchild. And her dog: Sadie.
Our Mother will always be with us in our heart and we will remember what they taught us. Perseverance, hope, trust, humor, servant hood and to love life.
We want to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Nursing Staff at Westeria Rehab and at Hendricks Medical Center PCU Unit-P3 and C6, which came to be part of our family.
Her loving husband - Joe Vina and Grandson Robert Sanchez, Jr. proceeded her in death.
In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in her honor to Life Church - Building Fund.
