Eloise Winn

Eloise Winn passed away Sunday evening January 18, 2009 at a local hospital. Her funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday January 21, 2009 at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Dr. Jeff Reid the associate pastor of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church and good friend to Eloise and OB will be officiating the services. Visitation will be from 5:00 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Eloise was born May 10, 1920 in Jones County, TX as one of eight children to Grace and Tom Lesly. Eloise married Otice OB Winn August 1, 1936 and lived in the Abilene and Taylor County area. Eloise worked for the Abilene Independent School District as a cook and kitchen manager for Bowie Elementary School until her retirement. Eloise and OB were both very faithful supporters and volunteers for the West Texas Rehabilitation Center.

Her surviving family members include; one Sister, Wanda Lee McClure; one grandson, Rocky Ford; one granddaughter, Melinda Horne; four great grandchildren, Connor, Austin, Luke and Zakary; and a very special friend and Nephew, Jim Lesly.

She was preceded in death by her husband OB and her daughter Nita Ford.
