Ernest Grant

ERNEST ALLEN GRANT, 76, passed away Sunday January 26, 2014 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Elmcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Allens family will have visitation 6:00 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South.

Allen was born January 8, 1938 in Paris, Texas to Ernest Elbert Grant and Edna Azzlee Smith GrantHamon. He graduated from Anton High School and attended McMurry University. Allen married Marilyn Olney on February 1, 1961 in Sweetwater. He was a selfemployed plumber. Allen was an amateur photographer who loved restoring cars, playing his guitar and watching movies.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Allen is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Grant of Abilene daughter, Debra Grant of Los Angeles, California son and daughterinlaw, Terry and Misti Grant of Abilene adopted daughter, Sandy Sinor of Los Angeles, California granddaughter, Megan Grant three brothers and sistersinlaw, LeRoy and Rose Grant of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Kenneth and Marilyn Grant of San Angelo, and James and Linda Grant of Abilene and numerous nieces and nephews.
