Ernest William Miller, age 81, peacefully passed away on June 2, 2023, in Abilene, Texas. Born on September 2, 1941, Ernest lived a fulfilling life surrounded by love and cherished memories. He was married to Jacquie Bradshaw for an incredible 62 years, creating a bond that was a true testament to their enduring love.
Ernest dedicated his entire career to working in the oilfield, where he showcased his strong work ethic and commitment. Abilene, Texas, was not only his home but also the place where he raised his family. Above all else, Ernest cherished his family and held them dear to his heart. He was a loving father to his daughter, Darlene King and Amy Chesser, and took great joy in being a part of his grandchildren's lives.
In his free time, Ernest indulged in his hobbies of wood working and small engine repair. These activities allowed him to showcase his skills and creativity, bringing satisfaction and fulfillment to his life. Ernest was a true country man, embodying the values of hard work, simplicity, and a genuine love for the outdoors.
Ernest leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor his memory. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jacquie Miller; his beloved daughter, Darlene King, and his four cherished grandchildren, Tera Williams, Meagan Henry, Mark Chesser, and Chistian Chesser. Additionally, Ernest is survived by several great-grandchildren, including Seaanna, Eboni, Alexis, Lacey, Elijah, Julian, Carter, and Carson, as well as two great-great-grandchildren, Amir and A'mias. He is also survived by his brother, Frank Miller; and his sisters, Rosie Fletcher and Clara Miller. Ernest will be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ernest William Miller is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Amy "Miller" Chesser; his brother, Bud Miller; and his sister Lomi Miller. While we mourn his passing, we find solace in knowing that Ernest's memory will live on through the love and cherished memories he leaves behind. May he rest in peace.
