Ernest Rodriguez

Ernest Holguin Rodriguez, 62, of Abilene, Passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Abilene Municipal Cemetery. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18 at 6 PM followed by a rosary at 7 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US HWY 277 S.

Ernest was born on May 31, 1957 in Haskell county to the late Justo Rodriguez Sr. and Rita Enriquez Rodriguez. Ernest was a great dad, brother, uncle, cousin and papa that anyone could have asked for. He was a very caring man known to have a big heart and put others first. Ernest enjoyed watching baseball and football. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandkids and enjoyed visiting with his friends at the American Legion.

Ernest is survived by his children, Richard Garcia, Justin Rodriguez, Eric Rodriguez; grandchildren, Jaden Rodriguez, Liana Rodriguez, Isaiah Rodriguez, Richard Garcia, Oriana Garcia, Noah Garcia, Jesiah Garcia; siblings, Josephine Rodriguez (Dioni), Wiley Rodriguez (Janie), Santos Rodriguez (Janie); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Nellie Kilpatrick, Mary Palacios, Justo Rodriguez Jr.

He will be forever loved, greatly missed and always remembered.
