Ernie Wright

Ernie R. Wright passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at Care Inn of Abilene after a lengthy illness.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 16, 2014 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial park. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Ernie was born January 13, 1936 to the late Ernest R. Wright, Sr. and Beatrice Moser Wright, in Knox City, Texas. He graduated from Hayward High School in Hayward, California. He attended Abilene Christian University, Florida Christian College and Harding University.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Anita Wright son, Richard wife Elise Wright son, Randy Wright, both of Florida son, Jeff Gilbert wife Kerry of California stepsons, Michael Pitsker wife Lisa, and Tony Sikes wife Diannaof Oklahoma 12 grandchildren, 7 greatgrandchildren brother, Jim Wright of California.
