Eugene "Bobby" Campbell

Eugene "Bobby" Campbell, 79, passed away on December 13, 2023, in Clyde, Texas. He was born to his loving parents Albert Campbell and Margaret Richards on December 2, 1944, in Abilene, Texas.

A visitation will be held on December 19,2023, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas. A graveside service will be held December 20,2023, 11:00 AM, at the Texas State Veteran Cemetery at Abilene, 7457 W. Lake Road, Abilene, Texas.

Eugene served in the US Army in 1966. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad after serving 30 years in the railroad industry. Known for his quick wit and generosity, Eugene was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of encountering him. He had a loving heart that touched the lives of many. In his free time, Eugene enjoyed wandering Texas backroads, dancing and attending auctions.

He leaves behind a loving wife, Judith Campbell, who will forever hold him dear to her heart. Eugene's memory will also be carried on by his children and stepchildren: Jennifer Erler and husband Hank of Valley Center, California; Rickey Williams of Richardson, Texas; Karla Gomez of Lubbock, Texas; Amy Kellogg of Crystal River, Florida; Jarrod Kellogg of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida; Deanna Collins of Georgetown, Illinois; Clinton McMillin of Georgetown, Illinois; Meagan McMillin of Durango, Colorado. His nieces Becky Goodman and husband Terry of Abilene, Texas, Tami Gwinn and husband Gary of Tuscola, Texas, along with his 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

He is preceded in death by his sweet wife Jeanette Jenkins after 35 years of marriage; father, Albert Campbell; mother, Margaret Richards; sister, Shirley Pierce.

He will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him.
