Evangelina Najera

Evangelina Najera, 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 11, 2010. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 14th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South. Funeral service will be at New Life Temple Church, 2465 Old Anson Rd. at 1:00 PM on Monday with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Evangelina was born in Sonora, Texas on October 7, 1946. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Dicky Selgado and her parents, Antonio and Petra Rodriguez. Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie Manuel Cruz of Abilene and Lynda Najera of Richardson her grandchildren, Maria Almazan of Richardson, Randy Almazan of Abilene and Xavier Elam of Richardson her siblings, Tony Amparo Rodriguez, Ramon Rosa Rodriguez, Carlos Connie Rodriguez, Joe Susie Rodriguez, Melissa Hernandez, and Rachel Rodriguez all of Abilene and Roy Sharon Rodriguez of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Evangelina, also known as Eva, Angie and ChaCha was a loving mother, grandmother and servant of God. She was a friend to everyone and enjoyed going to church, helping people, being a nurse and shopping. She will be missed by everyone.

Pallbearers for the service will be Juan Carlos Rodriguez Jr., Robert Cortez, Joey Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez, Roy Estrada Jr., and Ramon Rodriguez Jr.
