Ezell Simmons

Ezell Simmons, 76, of Abilene passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 in Abilene.

Ezell was born on April 12, 1942 in Crockett, Texas to the late Cleveland Simmons and Lola Mae Martin Simmons. Ezell Simmons resided in Austin, Texas, until recently re-locating back to Abilene to be closer to family. He was previously married to Helen Simmons of Abilene, TX. He was a private man and led a very humble life. Ezell loved his family very much. He enjoyed watching the Cowboys, listening to the blues, and keeping up with current world events. He took pride in sharing his wisdom with his family.

Ezell is survived by his children, Cymanthia Evans and husband Paul, Victor Simmons and wife Michele, Thomas Simmons, Gregory Bell and wife Simone; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, C.W. Simmons, Doris Carter, and Cora Lee Carter; Kathy Simmons; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Ezell was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Ezell Simmons and two siblings, Lilly Simmons and Thomas Phillips.

A memorial will be held for family and close friends at a later date
