Fannie Mae Massey, 87, of Abilene passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in San Angelo.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US HWY 277 S. Abilene, TX 79606. Entombment will follow at the Elmwood Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 25 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM prior to the service.

Fannie Mae was born on February 9, 1934 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Alfred Franklin McCall and Shirley McCall. She married John W. Massey on July 5, 1953 and they were blessed with 56 years of marriage until John's passing in 2009. Fannie Mae worked caring and raising her family. She was a longtime member of Elmwood Baptist Church, Abilene Cactus Lions Club and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Fannie Mae is survived by her son David Massey and wife Kim; daughter, Charlene Dochin and husband Robin and son John S. Massey; grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson and husband Richard, Elyse Garza, John S. Massey Jr., Christopher Dochin; great grandchildren, Hanna Hightower and husband Ethan, Nolan Johnson, Marshall Johnson, Kingston Garza, Presley Garza; extended families and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, James McCall.
