Fernando Jose Patino, 53, of Abilene, passed away Monday, January 11th, 2021 in Abilene.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation and rosary will be held on Thursday, January 21 from 6 to 8 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.
Fernando was born on December 8, 1967 in Ballinger, Texas to Refugio D. Patino Sr. and Olivia Delagarza Patino. He worked for over 20 years for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice until his retirement. Fernando loved spending time with his family and coaching his kid’s baseball and softball teams throughout the years when they were younger. He loved to play softball with his son and his close friends. Fernando made lots of friends through being a sports fan; he seemed to always make friends wherever he went. He was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers, Oklahoma Sooners and the Houston Astros. Fernando was a member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Fernando is survived by his children, Andre Patino, Pricilla Hughes (Holly), Cassandra Patino, Anthony Patino; Mother, Olivia Patino; siblings, Diane Quintanilla (Eloy), Jo Ann Gutierrez (Danny), Ruby Prado (David), Luis Patino (Rosalinda); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Refugio D. Patino Sr and his brother Refugio (Kookie) Patino Jr .
