Flausa Bell Flo Hinkle, 82, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 in Irving TX. Her funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 14th in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South with interment following in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Elmwood Funeral Home
Flausa was born on May 11, 1929 in Eastland TX to Beulah May Honea and Jo Sephus McKee. She married Melvin Hindman on September 24, 1945 and was blessed with 3 daughters, Linda Carol, Norma Sue, and Peggy Lois. Later on June 23, 1952, she married and spent 42 years with the love of her life, Dewey L. Hinkle and was blessed with a son, Bobby Dee.
Flausa lived in Anson, Abilene, and Irving, Texas. She was a waitress for many years at Dunstons Steak House in Dallas. She later took pleasure in helping to raise her grandchildren. She spent several years as an active member of the Irving Senior Citizens Center where she made many friends. She was never one to sit quietly in the back ground she was involved in many activities, and always had a colorful story.
Flausa was preceded in death by her husband Dewey Dee L. Hinkle, sisters, Addi Jo Stephenson, Bertie Venson, Lavern Estella McKee, and her loving grandson, Chris Lee Barnes.
Flausa is survived by her sister Ruby Bumgardner of Procter, Texas her three daughters, Linda Barnes and husband Gary of Lubbock, Norma Sue Reeder of Irving, and Peggy Woodson of Monroe, Louisiana her son, Bobby Hinkle and wife Lori of Irving seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
She was loved by many, and will be missed by all her sprit will live on within us.
