Gary Brown

Gary Mace Brown, 62, passed away January 21, 2015 in Abilene.

Visitation will be 5:00 till 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be Thursday in the DFW National Veteran's Cemetery.

Gary was born January 27, 1952 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He grew up in Charleston, SC and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1973. He faithfully served our country for six years while serving Tours of Duty in Thailand and Korea. After he returned from the service he enrolled in Texas Tech University where he received his Law degree. He joined Whitten law firm before starting his own practice. He served as the D.A. of Jones and Shackelford County for four years before moving back to Abilene to restart his law practice.

Gary is survived by his children, Nicole Rachelle Cullen and Jonathon Brown; grandchildren, Addison and Evan Cullen; siblings, Edgar (Bud) Brown, Millie (Mildred) Brown, Michelle (Shelly) Brown Gill, and Mike Brown.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eager Wood Brown and mother, Eudora Lucille Levey Brown.
