Geneva R. Kiser of Ft Worth, formerly of Abilene and Sand Springs, TX died Wednesday, July 14, 2015 in Bedford.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 17, at 10:00 a.m. at the Grapevine Church of Christ, 525 N. Park Blvd. Grapevine, TX 76051, under the direction of Elmwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring, TX. The family will receive friends at a visitation from
6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 16th at Grapevine Church of Christ.
Geneva was born to the late Joseph Henry and Emma Smith Turner on June 9, 1928 in Madill, Oklahoma. She lived most of her life in Big Spring, TX where after high school she worked as the credit manager for Montgomery Ward. Geneva married Robert "Bob" Kiser on March 24, 1949 in Big Spring, TX. After her second child was born she changed her occupation to full time home maker. Geneva and Bob served congregations in Sand Springs, TX, Big Spring, TX, Grapevine, TX, Ft Worth, TX, Mountain Home, Arkansas and Stephenville, TX and Baird, TX. Bob preceded her in death on June 26, 2014. Geneva was blessed with 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren on the way. Geneva loved her family very much and modeled the Christian life to all who were blessed to have known her. She loved very well, and she was very well loved. Geneva was most known for her kindness, cheerfulness and cooking.
Geneva is survived by four children, Sandra Kiser of Abilene, Terry Kiser and wife Donna of Ft Worth, Karen Knight and husband Gregg of Pottsboro, and Kyle Kiser and wife Denise of Ft Worth grandchildren Joshua, Sarah, Jessie, Landon, Megan, Charles, Cody, Kyla and Kari great grandchildren Jonas, Buttercup, Frankie, Hunter, Haiden, Ryan, Chloe, Charlie Claire, Emma and Maggie; one sister, Edwina Stewart of McKinney, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
