George Smith

George T. Smith, 94, of Fort Worth passed away Thursday August 21, 2014 at his home.

Graveside funeral service will be held Monday August 25 at 1:00 PM at the Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 US Hwy 277 S. Abilene, TX. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 11 to 1 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home.

George was born on May 14, 1920 in Hamilton, Texas to the late Tom and Annie Smith. He married Frankie Freeman and they shared 30 years together before she passed away. George proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After the navy he worked as a School Attendance officer.

George is survived by his daughters, grandchildren, family and dear friends.
