Gina Michelle Hall, devoted wife, mother, and longtime resident of Abilene, TX, died unexpectedly on October 8, 2015 at the age of 43.
Michelle is survived by; her husband, Garrett Hall; her children, Marissa Mingo, Brandon Hall, and Ryon Hall; her mother, Glenda Woodrow; her siblings, Ronda Ashenfelter, Karon Bray, and Robert Woodrow; her father and mother-in-law, David and Linda Hall; and her brother-in-law, Jonathan Hall. She is predeceased by her father Ronnie Woodrow.
Michelle was born in Abilene on November 16, 1971 to Ronnie and Glenda Woodrow. She graduated from Cooper High School in 1991 where she earned a letter as a member of the prestigious Cooper Cougar marching band. On August 8, 1992, she married Garrett, a college student and fellow employee of Sam's Club. Between September 1993 and October 1997, she brought her three children into the world, who were the most precious and greatest joys of her life.
Michelle was not only a wife and mother, but also a boon to both the military and local communities. While living abroad with her family she was an accountant for the club at Mildenhall Air Base in England, and completed the Red Cross Dental Assistant program in Geilenkirchen, Germany. Upon her return to the U.S., Michelle resided at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. While there, she started the first chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in St. Louis, Missouri, and organized that cities inaugural Out Of The Darkness walk.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on October 13 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 US-277 in Abilene. Edwin Bumpass will officiate. Flowers and condolences may be offered at Elmwood Funeral Home, and there will be a visitation October 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
