Gladys Holt

Gladys Claudean Holt, 83, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be Monday, May 23, 2022 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A chapel service will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Claudean was born September 3, 1938 in Santa Anna, Texas to Arvil and Ardain Thacker. She married Johnny Holt and together the couple had four children. Johnny passed away several years prior to Claudeans death. Claudean enjoyed sewing and watching westerns. She was a mother to all and loved her family beyond measure especially her grandbabies. Claudean leaves a beautiful legacy that will carry on for generations to come.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe Dale Thacker; and brother in law, James LeMay.

Claudean is survived by her children, Debora Ralph and husband Ronnie of Clyde, TX, Floyd Holt of Sallisaw, OK, Lloyd Holt of Sallisaw, OK, and Corwyn Holt and wife Patty of Abilene, TX; ten grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Edna Thacker of Mayhill, NM, Linda LeMay of Abilene, TX, Dewayne Thacker and wife Francine of Burnet, TX, and Doris Glasscock and husband David of Burnet, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
