Goldie Foster

Goldie Louise Foster, 95, of Abilene passed from this life Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in Abilene.

A funeral service will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 at 10 AM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jack Smith and Pastor Dave Kessel officiating.

Goldie was born on May 18, 1923 in Buffalo Gap, TX. to the late Arthur and Nina Maloney Gaston, the oldest of three children. She married William Leonard Glasgow Jr. and they had one son. She later married her "True Love", Reese Foster. Goldie spent most of her life in service of the less fortunate, working for years at the Abilene State School where she retired in 1990. She loved being with people, especially children at her church, spending years working in the nursery at First Church of the Nazarene.
Goldie was also preceded in death by her husband Reese Foster and a grandson, Leonard Glasgow IV.

Goldie is survived by her brother, Lawrence Gaston of Abilene; sister, Jean Pace and husband Bill of Kalispell, Montana; son, Leonard Glasgow III and wife Chris of Buffalo Gap; granddaughter, LouCyndia Holloway and husband Greg of Weatherford, TX; grandsons, Kristopher Glasgow and wife Meagan of Abilene, Shane Glasgow and wife Sharae of Merkel, Brent Glasgow and wife Wendi of Buffalo Gap; 11 great grandchildren; numerous neices and nephews.
