Graciela Romo

Graciela Moroles Romo, 61, passed away October 2, 2021 in Abilene, Texas surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will be held at Elmwood Funeral Home, located at 5750 US HWY 277 S, Abilene, Tx Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 2:00pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 837 Jeanette St, Abilene, TX.

Graciela was born October 12, 1959 in Brownfield, Texas to Santos and Maria Isabel Moroles. She graduated from Brownfield High School in 1978. On July 7,1984 Graciela married the love of her life, Rojelio Romo in Brownfield and the couple spent 37 wonderful years together. In May of 1999 the couple and their four daughters moved to Abilene, Texas. Graciela continued her career as Student Nutrition Manager at Dyess Elementary Cafeteria and was there for 22 years. Graciela was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and taught Catechism classes and Baptism classes. She was the most amazing cook and prepared the best meals for her family to share. Graciela leaves a legacy of faith, love, and laughter that will be carried on for years to come. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Ignacio Moroles.

Graciela is survived by her husband, Rojelio Romo; her four daughters, Angela Mejia and husband Jose, Veronica Romo, Bianca Rodriguez and husband Junior, and Marissa Romo; ten grandchildren, Anabella, Marisol, Iliana, Ricardo, Araceli, Zoey, Celestina, Milo, Soleia, and Elijah;her siblings, Isabel Mermella, Emilia Franco, Joe Moroles, Santos Moroles Jr, and Sofia Coronado; her fur baby, Gizmo Romo; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
