Gumezinda Deloera

Gumezinda DeLoera, 87, of Abilene passed away Saturday August 16, 2014 in Abilene.

Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday August 20, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abilene. Burial will follow at Sweetwater City Cemetery in Sweetwater, TX. Services are under the direction of Elmwood Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday August 19 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM followed by a Rosary at 7 PM at the funeral home.

Gumezinda was born on July 1, 1927 in Sweetwater, TX to the late Antonio and Cruz Leyva Castro. She worked as a CNA for 30 plus years until her retirement. Gumezinda was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Gumezinda is survived by her husband, Antonio DeLoera Sr. children, Margaret and husband Frank Argumaniz, Antonio Deloera Jr. and wife Lydia, Cruz and husband Joe DeLaCruz, Jessie DeLoera and wife Ramona, Frank DeLoera and wife Rachel, Raul DeLoera and wife Sylvia, Rebecca and husband Tim Moss brother, Pedro Castro and wife Dolores numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and greatgreat grandchildren and dear friends.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund 837 Jeanette St, Abilene, TX 79602.
